If you’re a bike enthusiast, we think it’s safe to say you already know those things. The more important question is, “Will it provide value for your money?”
In this giant hybrid bike review, we’ll take a closer look at the important features of the Giordano RS700 and the reasons you should and shouldn’t buy it.

Features and Specifications
Aluminum Frame with a Rigid Fork
With its white and red finish and cool-looking decals, the Giordano RS700 Hybrid Bike looks more handsome than the Giordano G7 (at least for us). It could even pass as a a $2,000 hybrid bike.
The frame is a road bike frame made of aluminum. The RS700 is available in two men’s frame sizes: medium and large.
- Medium frame: This is for riders who are 5’7” to 6’0” tall with an inseam of 29 to 31 inches. The weight of this frame is around 31.11 pounds.
- Large frame: This is for riders who are 5’9” to 6’2” tall with an inseam of 30 to 33 inches. The weight of this frame is around 31.09 pounds.
Flat Steel Handlebar
They beefed up the shock-absorbing, high-tensile steel fork by adding a flat handlebar instead of the traditional road handlebar. With a straight and wide handlebar, you can easily control the front wheel, especially when you’re riding off road. Aside from that, you won’t have to lean too far forward like you would on a road bike.
Note: Unlike the Giordano G7 Men’s Hybrid Bike, you can’t adjust the handlebar and stem of this bike.
Multiple Speed and Shifting Gears
The Giordano RS700 Hybrid Bike is a 21-speed hybrid bike with Shimano shifters and derailleurs. The multiple gears might be intimidating, but once you master shifting between gears, you’ll ride on flat roads or up hills with less effort and at a faster speed.
700c Aluminum Rims
This has 700c aluminum rims, which are considered a standard for road bikes, so slight road irregularities won’t slow you down and tire you out. The wheels are designed to accommodate 700×35 black clincher tires that are 2 inches wide, which improve grip and traction and reduce your risk of a flat tire.

The Good
Bike Gears Actually Work
It’s easy to pedal and move the Giordano RS700 Hybrid Bike forward because its gears work flawlessly. The Shimano shifters felt really good in the hands and allow you to zip down the road effortlessly.
Good on Steep Hills
This men’s hybrid bike is ideally made for paved roads. However, it’s also great on gravel surfaces and roads in poor condition. With many gear combinations that you could use, and as long as you learn to shift the gears correctly, you shouldn’t have any problem going up hills.
You don’t really need multiple gears to effectively tackle various terrains. If a 3-speed bike is all you need, the Raleigh Bikes Harlan City Bike is one of the best options.
Sturdy Bike with Good Tires
The Giordano RS700 Hybrid Bike doesn’t have too many components that are defective or need fine tuning. The tires provide good grip and rolling resistance, which are impressive qualities for a bike at this price point.

The Bad
Squealing Brakes
The good news is this has strong brakes. The bad news is they squeal like a banshee. Some find it annoying, while others weren’t bothered by it that much.
Luckily, this is something that you can fix. There are many YouTube videos that would teach you how to do that.
Bike Assembly Issues
Some of the people had a hard time assembling the bottle holder, fork, and steering bar. It also doesn’t help that it didn’t come with the tools necessary to put it together, such as a wrench.
Others didn’t have the same experience, though. They were able to put it together within an hour, more or less. Then again, these are people who owned many bikes through the years, so they have the know-how to assemble, fine-tune, and repair bicycles.
Sizing is Off
The Giordano RS700 Hybrid Bike seem to be half an inch taller than what you would expect it to be. People ended up getting a larger frame because of the incorrect size guide. Before buying, you might want to email or call the seller first to make sure you get the correct frame size.
Who Is It For?
People who mostly ride on paved roads are the ones who are going to benefit from the Giordano RS700 Hybrid Bike the most. It may survive the occasional ride on rough roads and shouldn’t have issues climbing up steep hills. If you want to go faster or go uphill, but with lesser force, this is for you.
Conclusion
The Giordano RS700 Hybrid Bike has minor flaws and lacks a few components that would make your life easier (e.g., a quick-release front wheel and a padded seat with a suspension seat post) that you can find in some budget hybrid bikes, such as the Schwinn Men’s Siro Hybrid Bicycle.
However, overall, this is a great bike for the price. It performs well on paved roads, hills, and a few gravel surfaces. It has good tires, brakes (noisy but can be fixed), and sturdy construction.
